Historic Renovation in Old Town
We took a call from a GC working on a 1930s Spanish Colonial Revival renovation right in the heart of Old Town Merced. The driveway was barely wide enough for a pickup, let alone a service truck, and the homeowners were living on-site during the kitchen gut. We couldn't just drop a standard unit on the sidewalk without creating an eyesore or blocking the neighbors, and the backyard access was fenced tight against the property line.
I drove out personally to scout the site before sending the delivery truck. We spotted a leveled patch of gravel behind the detached garage that offered easy service access via the alleyway instead of the street. My crew secured the unit to handle the valley breeze and set up a twice-weekly cleaning schedule to keep odors down for the residents. The project ran six months without a single complaint.
Mateo found a spot for the restroom that I didn't even know existed, keeping my clients happy.
