Renovation in Old Town
A contractor working on a 1935 Spanish Colonial Revival in Old Town Merced called us with a logistics nightmare. We saw the narrow driveway was jammed with a dumpster and a stucco crew's truck, leaving zero room for a standard trailer. With August heat radiating off the pavement, the crew needed relief, but the homeowner refused to have a unit sitting on their manicured front lawn.
I drove our compact delivery truck out there to assess the alley access. We managed to slide a standard unit and a hand wash station just inside the back fence line, securing it on flat blocks so it wouldn't wobble on the uneven soil. We set up a twice-weekly cleaning schedule to keep odors down in the tight residential space, keeping the neighbors happy and the crew working.
Mateo figured out how to fit the restrooms in the back alley so we didn't upset the homeowners.
